Kat GF Mark of the Sea

   "Neptune has judged you, and he has deemed you worthy of the gift..." Nalu said.

   "Okay? So what exactly is, the gift?" Kat asked. Nalu swam right up to Kat and closed his eyes... Then, slowly rising up from his fish-like scales were two long tendrils that had been lying so tightly on his neck that Kat didn't even see them before. They had strange fins at the ends of them and Nalu began bringing them close to Kat's snout. She swam back a bit.

   "Don't be afraid, the gift does not hurt..." Nalu said. Kat felt something inside her saying not to go closer... She shook off the feeling and moved back in. Nalu brought his tendrils closer and closer to her face until they suddenly latched onto her entire snout! She started to panic and struggle, so Nalu wrapped his long lower body around her. "It's okay, it's okay! This is the only way Neptune can pass the gift to you! Don't panic." Nalu said, trying to calm her. Kat tried to relax as she felt a strange energy flowing into her. Then a voice spoke to her and she closed her eyes to focus in on it...

   "You have proven yourself in the depths, and it gives me great honor to present you with the gift..." The deep voice boomed, and Kat saw a bright light! Her vision slowly returned and she looked out in front of her. Nalu was floating in the water and he had laid his tendrils back down. Kat shook her head and looked around. She didn't feel any different?

   "What was this gift? I don't feel any different?" Kat said. Nalu pointed to a reflective crystal on the sea wall. Kat swam over to it and was taken a bit by surprise by what she saw in the reflection. She had a new light blue marking on her chest that was highly intricate with Celtic swirls. She could hardly believe it was her.... "What is this...?" She asked.

   "That is the mark of Neptune. It will amplify your connection to the water element ten fold... Whenever you use your water element the marking will become present glow, and when you switch your element back to another one, the marking will vanish... Very few dragons have been blessed with this gift, and even fewer are from the surface world..." Nalu explained. Kat turned to him and bowed, which wasn't very easy to do underwater. Kat thanked Nalu for everything he did to help her attain this new power, and she transformed back into her normal self when she resurfaced. She flew back to the League Headquarters and searched for Nero. She found him pacing nervously in the library?

   "Hey Nero, I'm back." She said, and he had a look of great distress on his face when he stared into her eyes... "Is, is something wrong...?" Kat asked. Nero approached her in a way that made her heart race... He looked her in the eyes, and told her what was troubling him...

   "Kat- It's your cub......." Kat's heart raced and she felt a deep fear rising within her... "She's gone missing......."




   "What do you mean...? Where did she go?! Is she all right?! What happened?!" Kat exclaimed!

   "She overheard me talking to Nikos about Koda being gone so long and I think she went out to find him..." Nero explained.

   "WHAT?! But Koda went into the Frozen Mountains! Into Shiva's Hell! My little cub isn't built for that kind of intense cold! She'll freeze to death!!! I have to find her!!!" Kat said, frantically trying to race out the doors. Nero raced after her and grabbed her!

   "Kat you can't go up their either! You'd freeze too!" Nero exclaimed!

   "No I won't! Not if I shape shift into an Arctic Hydrakon! Then I could stand the cold! I'm not leaving her up there! I won't let her freeze to death!" Kat shouted, tears streaming down her cheeks. Nero released her.

   "Very well Kat... If you wish to go into the mountains... Do so... But do be careful up there..." Nero said, watching Kat with concern.
